Chapter Seventeen
Aude Langue Sine*

Ah, dear and patient readers! How far have we strayed from the Land of Khemis in this strange and wondrous tale concerning Seshat's mysterious ways! All the way to France, in fact, or should your narrator be more specific: Septimania, ancient Kingdom of Aude, home of Rennes-le-Gāteau and a mysterious priest named Sauniere...

"Oh Gods, NO," Duke groaned as he read over Miss O's shoulder. "We can't go there, please! Talk about the height of innuendo, chicanery and...and...I'm calling the Prof, he'll talk you out of it, he'll change your mind!"

"Cool your jets, caro mio," Olivia laughed. "We aren't going to R-L-G, not yet, anyway...not before we visit Sainte La Baume and some nearby mountains and we have to stop in Paris first, so I can kick some Grail Gestapo bee-hind, naturally..."

"Why don't I stay home with Locky and Lucky?" Domenico joked. "Or hang out with Posh and help her with the new novel...or are you planning on penning yet another bodice ripper?"

"I happen to have a couple of very good ideas for a romance novel," Olivia replied. "But before you distract me, Gemini boy, I am stickin' to my saddle and sendin' out a big old S.O.S. from Lone Star to Estella - white roses, perhaps? For the bride-to-be? From her swain and true knight, Monsieur Lone Odion Star."

"Why Odion? Who's he? Odin?"

"O-dion, O-dion, where for art Thou, O-dion," Miss O laughed as she picked up the phone to call the florist whose logo was, of course...the winged messenger and trickster extraordinaire.
