18th c. manuscript illumination of Maria Magdalena

One need not be a genius of note to also deduce that Miss Olivia, herself a member of OTC for many years, was acting as an agent on LOL's behalf because of the cyber-friendship that existed between the pair, and nothing more. Whenever LOL addressed the Bakers (code name for OTC members) - and this was always done by email - her missives bore the name Blanche and no other.

Recently, in fact, Miss O had received an alert from OTC headquarters, an update that she kept even from her true love, Domenico. The letter's contents caused Olivia to pen a note to Madame le Goth, ordering a new cloak, black velvet kilt and crimson-laced bodkin of the same, all emblazoned with the sterling silver croissant heraldry that the Bakers of the OTC recognized as theirs and theirs alone (note: look to many famous tapestries throughout history for proof of the OTC's existence).

Based on the power of the White Popess' words, Olivia decided to lure Madeline to Renne-le-Gāteau herself, meeting with her former friend-turned-foe in a showdown for info leading to the whereabouts of a certain encoded painting. Unbeknowst to either, the Lady of the Lake had made the same decision, too.
